An Acoustic Evening with Django Walker
Texas songwriting runs deep in Django Walker’s blood—but he’s spent his career building a legacy all his own.
Born and raised in Austin as the son of legendary Texas songwriter Jerry Jeff Walker, Django grew up surrounded by icons like Willie Nelson, Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark. He went on to become an acclaimed songwriter himself, penning songs recorded by Pat Green, Jimmy Buffett, Josh Abbott and Kevin Fowler, including Pat Green’s Texas favorite “Texas on My Mind.” His own “Texas Longhorn” has become a game-day tradition at DKR Stadium. On October 28, Django strips it all back for a special solo acoustic performance at The Saxon Pub—the songs, the stories and one of Austin’s own just a few feet from the audience.
