Hank Weaver & Cameron Allbright
May 23 @ 10:00 pm - 11:30 pm
Hank Weaver is an aspiring singer-songwriter in the music scene of San Marcos, Texas. Originally from Bells, Texas, Hank is a student at Texas State University and has made progress as a songwriter and performer through the help of his peers he has made along the way. With a devout passion for the songwriting history of Texas, Hank has taken inspiration from artists such as Steve Earle, Todd Snider, Guy Clark, and Townes Van Zandt. He has been graciously accepted into the legendary Cheatham Street Warehouse community, where he currently spends his time honing in on his craft. He has ambitions of breaking into the scene as someone who can bring a unique sound and have the same impact as his heroes did before him.
Cameron Allbright- I’ve been playing guitar since i was about 9 years old. I come from a musical family, my Dad plays guitar and he taught me my first few songs. I went to youtube and taught myself everything else i know. I’ve been performing live for about 2 years now and have got to do some pretty cool things. Ive played full band shows and released three studio produced songs.
For a long time I was too scared to play in front of people, so a rarely shared my music. When I moved to San Marcos after high school I met some people who also wrote songs and they pushed me to get up and play in front of people. Overcoming that fear was one of the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Since I first got up at an open mic, I’ve played many shows and have got to open up for artist I look up to. I’m super proud of myself for overcoming stagefright.
I’ve got some big plans of where to take my music. Hopefully someday I can figure out how to do it full time. Until then I’m working hard everyday writing and putting my band together, and hopefully I’m going to go back into the studio and record some more stongs to put out. Music is something I am extremely passionate about and something I’ve worked hard at.
