Sugar Dirt and Sand

Sugar Dirt and Sand is the decade-long project of Virginia-born and road-raised singer-songwriter, Mike McCabe.

With the psychedelic vulnerability of Father John Misty and the soul of Van Morrison, Mike’s songs are classically familiar and like nothing you’ve ever heard before.

Mike has lived 20 lives since first setting out on his own and these songs are the postcards from mountains, valleys, personal hell, and fleeting moments of ecstatic bliss.

When he’s not playing music or reading underneath a live oak, he works as a therapist in Austin, counseling adolescents, middle-age men, and couples on how to drink the nectar out of life.
